What We Offer
Kids Class
Our Kids Class provides students the chance to stay active. The classes concentrate on learning basic movements through exercises and games to enhance agility, balance, coordination and speed. These skills are core to Judo and valuable for other recreational activities as well. Learn and have fun all at the same time with Amherst Kodokan Judo Academy.
Youth Class
The Youth Class is designed to develop the young athlete. The Course builds on the basic exercise and movements with development of Judo specific techniques. It provides students with confidence as they learn self defense and gives them the skills for competition. We want our students to keep an open mind, and have fun throughout their experience at Amherst Kodokan Judo Academy.
Adult Class
The Adult Class is multi faceted. It provides a full body exercise, a recreational activity, self defense skills or further development of athletes for higher level of competition. There is no "one size fits all" approach. Participants are encouraged to take it at their own pace and ability while always trying to push a little further to continually improve.
Open Mat
Our Open Mat Class provides students the chance to work on whatever they wish. Whether it be to practice a particular difficult technique or to study for next belt progression, our team is there to help support.
JFit
JFIT (Judo Fitness Interval Training) Class is designed to provide full body conditioning with judo based exercises without the contact of Judo. This could be an entry level for an older student interested in learning Judo or for judo parents looking to get in a little exercise.

Dojo/Hall Rental
AKJA has times available for rental of the climate controlled dojo.
The 1000 square feet of mats surface provides a great location for practice of various activities (martial arts, yoga, exercise classes, etc.)
When the mats are moved it provides a 1500 square foot room that is great for community events (birthdays, showers, receptions, etc.)
The facility includes a fully equipped functional kitchen, two washrooms and enough tables and chairs to accommodate 100 people.
